July Favorites

Can't actually believe July is over! One more full month of summer and then its back to full time education :(
During the month of July i have moved both house and town! It was extremely stressful and was the main reason for the very empty blog. Hope you're all well! On to the faves..

I picked this beauty up on a quick trip to Superdrug. I was looking for a new everyday lipstick and i stumbled into this. I'd never used a Collection lipstick so i was a little skeptical but this lippy is a winner. Lasting power isn't the best but the color and texture is pretty great. I wouldn't call it an everyday lipstick but its been on my lips a lot through July.
Collection Lasting colour: Seduction  1 - £2.99

This Mushroom nail polish from Barry M has been my babe this month. Its not a bright summer color but i really love the way it contrast with my skin. Its from Barry M so the wear is pretty awesome, i can normally go about five days chip free. Like with most Barry M polishes one coat does the job and it dries fast too.

Barry M - £3.99

Superdrugs vitamin E day cream is still on the list! Its been a life saver for me this summer. Great on days when i really don't feel like covering my face with foundation.
Superdrug - £2.99

Last but not least is this bag! Would you believe me if i told you i got it in Oxfam for £15. Its a true vintage style that goes with everything. I've taken this bag on days to the park and then used it on nights out.. talk about versatile. I'd recommend everyone to take a look at charity shops. Every once in awhile you can find something amazing and your money goes to good. win win if you ask me.

2 stone in 2 months Challenge

So with a new academic year looming, I've decided to reboot my currently dormant weight loss plan. Setting challenges makes the whole process a lot more fun so I've set myself a challenge to lose two stone in the next eight weeks before i go to university. I'll be updating the blog on my weekly progress, the food i eat, my work outs and most likely how hard i'm finding the whole thing! I hope me posting my journey will motivate others or help someone to carry on with theirs. Its nice knowing you're not alone. First post will be up on the 1st/08/2014! see you then.

Fake Nose Ring Review

So over the past two weeks I've been trying out some fake nose rings. I'm sure i cant be the only on out there who loves the look of piercings but completely a baby when it comes to pain. I've wanted a nose ring for so long and at one time actually almost got one done but watching the process happen put me off. The idea of getting a fake one came to after one of the YouTubers i'm obsessed with confessed that her amazing looking nose stud was a fake. After a quick look on the internet i found some on amazon. http://www.amazon.co.uk

Price and delivery time from this particular company was really good. They arrived within a week, which isn't too bad for 40p delivery charge.

The process of putting one in inst difficult but can be painful. I suppose it might be different for each person due to different pain thresholds. Personally for me i found once on my nose the piercing was a little painful. After a few minuets the pain would completely go away but if i nudged or touched my nose the pain would come back. At first i didn't mind the pain as i thought the look of finally having a nose piercing was worth it. However after a few days i noticed that the piercing had left a little bruise on my nose! The bruise only got worse until i decided it was not worth permanently bruising myself. I'm not sure if it's the studs or if i just have sensitive skin but if you're thinking of trying a fake nose stud keep in mind the risk of bruising! Although i was disappointed about the bruises, getting a fake stud as motivated me to go out and just get the real thing (i'll let you know when i do). For now though i have found a new use for the nose studs. Instead of nose rings I've been putting them along side my ear. This i've found does not leave a bruise and actually looks really nice.

Hope this helps anyone considering a fake nose ring! xo

June Favorites

Summer is here! (Sort of). Due to the increase in sun i decided to change up my skin care routine in the hopes that it would cope better with the change in weather.
so firstly i stopped at my favorite shop for skin care.. Body Shop.

The Tea Tree gel wash and toner have been really working for me. I suffer from really oily skin but from the time i started using these two I've noticed that the level of oiliness has gone down! Tea tree is famously good for skin so i'd recommend it even if you don't suffer from oily skin. - £5 each

Also from Body Shop this self warming clay face mask. I've used this a few times now and i can honestly say i'm in love! I can really feel it working. It does however leave my skin with a grey tint but i use the tea tree gel wash after and that gets rid of it. - £10

I'd been hearing a lot of talk about Vitim E day and night creams so while on a trip to Kent i picked up this day cream from superdrug. It was on offer at the time so i thought why not. Its got a really light wear that pretty much lasts all day. It also has a SPF 15 factor which is an added bonus in my eyes. And for the cherry on top of the cake.. it smells amazing too! I've completely replaced my foundation with this cream during the month of June, I'd highly recommend this. - £3.99 (I think)

I know this one might be a little too obvious considering it is summer but SUNGLASSES!
These two have been life saving little beauties through out June. Not much needs to be said about them, they are stylish and they protect your eyes. - Brown pair £2 from Primark Sliver pair £13 from Next

That's it for this month (Favorites wise).. see you in July xx

The Weight loss, The Girl and The Blog

A little background about me:
- I'm 18 years old
- I started at a size 20
- Currently a size 18/16
- My dream size is a 12/10
- My love affair with food puts a really big strain on weight loss
- So far I've lost 25 pounds, i'd like to lose about 60 more :)

Back in April i decided to join the gym and start eating healthy. The concept of working out was completely lost on me, i felt like a fish out of water. I started off going everyday but over time its faded to a manageable 3 times a week. I noticed that i kept losing motivation, leading me to fall back into old eating habits. So i deiced to start this blog has a way to keep me motivated but also to be able to help others. I didn't just want it to be a fitness blog because although fitness is important, there's so much more to life! (hence the name). so i'll also be posting about fashion, make up and general life. I really hope you find the blog helpful and interesting.
